Blotter: No leads in Butterfly Garden vandalization, report says

This blotter covers Oct. 7-13.

An unknown suspect ripped a sign in the Butterfly Garden at the Ann Stuart Science Complex down between Oct. 2 and Oct. 10, according to a police report.

The head of the biology department, Juliet Spencer, called the Department of Public Safety at 9:06 a.m. Saturday morning to report the sign had been ripped off of the mounting post, Lt. David Law said. The report does not state who found the signed vandalized, but the biology department is in charge of maintaining the garden, Law said.

There are no security cases in the area and no witnesses to the incident. The case has been suspended until further information can be obtained.

officer-initiated calls between Oct. 7 and Oct. 13.
