The Lasso is a weekly student publication of Texas Woman’s University, written for, and produced by, students. In print since 1914, we recently celebrated our centennial year and look forward to the next hundred years serving the students of all three TWU campuses. With every issue we strive to fill The Lasso with important and relevant news, entertainment, and commentary serving not only the Denton Campus, but our campuses in Dallas and Houston as well. We print The Lasso monthly during the academic year, reaching students in both print and online media. The presentation of news and editorials and the personal opinions expressed in our media source are those of The Lasso staff and writers and do not necessarily reflect the views of the faculty, staff, students, administration, or the Regents of Texas Woman’s University.
Good afternoon! TWU will begin a new tradition this spring called Pioneers Remembered. It will be a ceremony honoring those in our TWU community who have passed away in the last year. This year’s ceremony will be Friday, April 15 at 9:15am, immediately before Honors Convocation at the Pioneer Woman. If you would like more information, please contact me and I would be glad to help!
