When crafting and chopped collide

For any students interested in crafting, TWU has the event for them.

Monday, Oct. 15, the Student Union Office is hosting a Pinterest Party: Chopped Edition. This event will take place from 4-7 p.m. on TWU’s Denton campus in the Maroon Lobby of the Student Union. Attendants will be given a basket full of four mystery items that they will have to use to make their most creative craft.

Event organizer and Student Union Programming coordinator Alexa Larzeia said, “This event is an opportunity for students to unwind and take a break from academics. Students are able to put their creativity to the test by creating a masterpiece”.

Alexa is expecting around 150 participants and, if student feedback is positive, this event could occur again.

All TWU students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend and admission is free. This is an activity that tests DIY skills under pressure and offers the chance to support fellow pioneers as they craft.

Alexa said, “Just come out and enjoy an evening with friends. Light refreshments will be provided”.

For more information about this event, contact the Student Union Office at studentunion@twu.edu or (940)-898-3641.
