What concerts have you attended recently?

Ellie Leslie is a senior social work major at Texas Woman’s University. This summer, she attended the Fall Out Boy and The Offspring concerts at the Dos Equis Pavilion. The Offsping’s concert was Leslie’s favorite because she grew up listening to the band. Leslie said that the most memorable part of the concert was watching Simple Plan, a band that The Offspring toured with, entering the mosh pit and dancing with fans.

Kim Pham is a nursing student at the TWU Houston campus. During summer break, Pham went to the Mamamoo and Twice concerts in Dallas and the Keshi concert in Houston. Her favorite songs played were “Wind Flower” by Mamamoo, “Dance the Night Away” by Twice, and “Limbo” by Keshi. “I really liked the stadium energy at the Mamamoo concert because all of the fans were older and more mature,” Pham said. “I also liked Momo’s solo stage at the Twice concert.”

Michelle Bui is also a nursing student at TWU Houston. Bui saw Paramore perform in July during their Houston concert. Her favorite songs from the night were “Crave” and “Misery Business.” “It was really memorable when they played the song ‘Last Hope’ and everyone started waving their lights and singing together,” Bui said.

Occupational Doctoral candidate wins Dementia Care Professional of the Year award
