Dancing their way through competition

The Pioneer Pride Dance Team is the newest edition to the T-Dub family.

The 18 fabulous dancers attended their first Dance Camp hosted at SMU, bringing home first place in Division II and the Silver paid bid. These talented dancers have been working hard to bring what skills they have to the dance floor. Coach Katie McAninch formally danced for Blinn College and Stephen F. Austin, so the team is in great hands and have some experience to go off of.

If you missed them at the bloc party don’t panic, there will be many more opportunities to watch these wonderful women and talented man perform on and off campus. There will be performances throughout the year at various events around school, such as sporting events like volleyball and basketball games, school functions and even community events.

If you have not had the chance to catch these dazzling dancers yet be sure to follow them on social media to keep up to date with where they will be performing next. You can follow them on Twitter @TWUPioneerPride so you don’t miss out on an exciting event.

It is hoped that this new addition to the TWU family will bring in more school spirit from all across campus. For those wanting to become apart of the dance team for the next year check out the Dance webpage through the Fit & Rec, there you can find what is needed to audition and the required material to perform.
