Karma Yoga of Denton is a great way for beginner yogis and long-time yogis to come together and do what they love most: yoga. According to their website, “Karma is one single continuous circle. One act of selflessness inspiring others.”
Through Karma Yoga, you are not only practicing the calming art of yoga, but you are also helping the community considering all proceeds are given back to local charities. By operating through local businesses, Karma maintains low-priced classes at only $5.
If you would like to start your day out peaceful and feeling energized, try out “Rise and Shine on the Square” which takes place every Saturday at 10 a.m. Every Monday at 6 p.m. on the square, Karma instructors come together to instruct a yoga class for those wanting to embark into the yoga world. If you are more of a night owl, you can attend the night class starting at 9 p.m. on Thursdays on the square. For those attending, it is asked that you bring your own mat, and donations are always welcomed.
If you are completely new to yoga, there are mats you can use for free, but it is first come, first serve. If you happen to have a mat that you no longer use, feel free to donate it to Karma.
