If you are looking to unlock your inner creative side or enhance your already unlocked creative side, First Friday in Denton is the place to be. Every first Friday of every month, Denton hosts an event where businesses and galleries come and host activities for whomever to come and try. Some shops stay open later for after hour shopping.
The next upcoming date for First Friday is Nov. 3. The event will start at 5 p.m. and last until 9 p.m.. Some activities and shops will stay open until 10 p.m..
The Discover Denton Welcome center will be welcoming guests with beer samples, for those old enough, from The Bearded Monk. Live music and the Greater Denton Arts Council art exhibit will be held at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center.
If crafting is your thing, head over to the one and only DIME Store where you can unleash your creative side while sipping on sangria. The DIME store features many products made by local Denton businesses. The Creative Arts Studio will host its monthly “Fun Party” where there will be featured artists and musicians.
Anyone and everyone can shop, so if being crafty is not your thing, Vintage Bleu and Circa 77 will have extended shopping hours. These shops are located along West Oak Street right off the Square.
Taking a break from school and work is always beneficial for the brain. So take a monthly break, and unleash your imagination. First Friday of Denton is hosted on the Square of Denton, 110 W Hickory Street every month starting at 5 p.m. Come out, and take a break from the daily hustle and bustle of life.
