Trump responds to Wisconsin recount

The state of Wisconsin has agreed to a recount after Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein made enormous efforts to raise money before the deadline of Dec., 13. Former Secretary of State and Democrat Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton joined Stein in her efforts for the recount after evidence of electronic hacking had been found.

There is an expected 30,000 missing votes in favor of Hillary Clinton after president-elect Donald Trump took Wisconsin by 27,000 votes. If the recount proves that the votes were tampered with, the Electoral College will be forced to reevaluate the count.

Stein is confident that the recount will be completed by Dec., 13 and has raised over six million dollars to fund the recount. Wisconsin made the announcement that the recount will take place this week.

Trump has stated on Twitter that “The Green Party scam to fill up their coffers to ask for impossible recounts is now being joined by the badly defeated & demoralized Dems.” Trump has also made the accusation that two million people have committed voter fraud and prevented his winning of the popular vote: “In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”

Currently, voter fraud is almost non-existent as many newspapers and court cases have declared. Previously, Trump made remarks about voter fraud and corruption when he believed that the odds were against him in the race, but, now that people have challenged him and his authority, claims he has always been an avid supporter in the Electoral system.

Stein is making headway for more recounts to be done in two other states, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Should the recount overpass the deadline, Stein’s campaign is determined to go to court for the ten votes.
