Tasty Tea with SUP

What’s the Tea?

Whether you prefer a hot cup of energizing green tea or a warm cup of mellow Earl Grey, TWU Student Union Programming’s event, called “What’s the Tea with SUP,” was the perfect mix of delicious tea, cool prizes and friendly conversation.

The event, held Friday, Jan. 19, was one of TWU SUP’s first programs of the semester and served as chance for students to get back into the swing of being involved on campus, connect with their peers and obtain information about important upcoming important dates and events.

Spinning for Prizes

SUP also gave students a chance to spin for prizes, such as TWU mugs and backpacks. Audrey Sitar, a TWU nursing major, exclaimed the prizes, albeit simple, allowed for people to get excited about the event and helped people “get more awesome TWU gear.”

Gabriela Castillo, a graduate health studies student who attended the event, said the event was a “good opportunity to warm up with hot tea and get informed about campus events.” Although the event was loosely structured, What’s the Tea with SUP proved to be an enjoyable pick-me-up for the cold weather TWU Denton students have been experiencing.

Upcoming Events

TWU SUP has several simple and fun events organized for the student body. A Pinterest Party will be held on Jan. 30 and will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Student Union Purple Lobby. An alternative event for Valentine’s Day, “Pal”entine’s Day, will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 12 in the same SU Purple Lobby.
