Spring has Sprung Denton Festivities

 

Spring has officially arrived and with it are bright colors, beautiful weather and fun activities for everyone. Over the next month, Denton will offer a variety of spring-themed events for people of all ages.

 

Vintage Market Days of Denton

 

A local favorite, Vintage Market Days is a three day event held a few times each year. This spring, it will be held Fri., April 7 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sat., April 8 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sun., April 9 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for vendors to showcase their talents and passions and features seasonal plantings, outdoor furnishes, delicious food, home decor, jewelry, clothing, original art, antiques, homemade treasures and much more. A 3-Day pass (Early Buying Event) is $10, general admission for Saturday and Sunday. is $5, and admission for children 12 and under is free. Egg’stravaganza and Egg Hunt

 

On Sat., April 15, Denton Parks and Recreation will host the Egg’stravaganza and Egg Hunt from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. In addition to the Easter egg hunt, there will be a magic show, face painting, arts and crafts, a giant slide and a bounce house. The egg hunt will start at 11:30 a.m. and participants will be divided into age groups. There will also be a concession stand offering low-priced snacks. Denton Redbud Festival

 

On Sat., April 22, the award-winning Denton Redbud Festival will take place from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Since 1994, the annual Arbor Day celebration has promoted Denton pride and community beautification. There will be dozens of vendors with plant and tree sales, household items, local/handmade products and gardening supplies, as well as live, local music and family-friendly activities. As the “Redbud Capital of Texas,” this festival is a beloved event for both the city of Denton and Texas Woman’s University. Back in the 1930s, TWU held their annual Redbud Festival for over five decades to celebrate tree planting efforts and increasing the school’s beauty.
