Spring with a splash: Denton ISD FFA Color Run

Start off this spring with a splash of color at the Denton ISD FFA Color Run this Sat., April 7. With check-in starting at 8 a.m. and the run at 9 a.m., the 3rd annual fun run will be held at the Sarah and Troy Lagrone Advanced Technology Complex. Directions to the event can be found here.

Members of the community from all ages are invited and welcome to participate. The event gives participants the opportunity to be spattered with color at the numerous splash zones throughout the course.

Runners are encouraged to sport a white T-shirt to catch as much color as they can. Tickets to the event are $35 and can be purchased from Denton ISD FFA by clicking here.

FFA, or Future Farmers of America, is an organization that promotes “premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education,” according to the FFA website. FFA in Denton ISD offers classes that focus on agriculture, horticulture and wildlife in a classroom setting.

The Denton ISD FFA Chapter is hosting the event to raise money for their programs at Braswell, Denton, Guyer and Ryan high schools, with all proceeds going to Denton ISD FFA.
