Thin Line is a free festival featuring art, film, and music for the Denton Community. The festival and all events are free but guests must register to receive admission to all the programs. Admission badges will be checked at all indoor events. The festival runs April 19 through the 23 with many events scheduled throughout the week. Register at thinline.us
Thin Line Photography Experience
View the art of photographers from all over the world at the Patterson Appleton Arts Center. The gallery is free and open to the public from April 20 through the 22 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The gallery closes early at 6 p.m. on Sunday. As part of UNT’s fine Arts series, Architects of Air lets visitors lose themselves in a maze on University Union’s South Lawn. Artists drew inspiration from Islamic and Gothic architecture to create an experience filled with light and color. The event is free.

Denton Parks and Recreation will be showing Pixar’s “Finding Dory” in the park. Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket or a lawn chair to view the film under the stars. The event will also include roasting marshmallows and arts and crafts. The film will begin at dusk

Denton Redbud Festival, Denton’s Official Arbor day celebration supports the community’s efforts to beautify Denton. Visitors can enjoy free live music and purchase gardening and household supplies from dozens of local vendors. The festival’s roots trace back to the Texas Woman’s University Festival that supported beautification efforts until the 1930s.

The Denton Public Library invites the maker and tinkerer community to an Arduino Meetup at the North Branch makerspace “The Forge.” David Riewe begins the meetup with a lecture to introduce beginners to programming and Arduino.
