Parking update: permits and shuttles

Parking Permits

As the school year starts, parking spots will begin to fill up. Having a parking permit will help students find a spot closer to the classrooms. Parking permits are for sale through the TWU Department of Public Safety. Student permits are $70, motorcycle permits are $35 and bicycle parking is always free.

Free Parking

This year, the Denton Bible Church will provide free parking to students with no permit required. TWU’s shuttle will offer pick-up/drop off, which will run from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Parking Garage

TWU Denton is scheduled to open up their first parking garage in late Oct or early Nov, according to the TWU website. There will be decal parking and hourly parking available. To park in the garage, you must purchase a parking garage permit. This permit will be slightly higher than the normal parking permits. The cost is not yet decided, but DPS hopes to keep it as low as possible. If you purchase a normal parking permit and want to change to a garage parking permit, you are able to do so and will receive one at a prorated cost.

For questions or concerns, contact the Parking Office at (940) 898-2925 during the hours of 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
