Outback Steakhouse and the TWU athletics department have worked together since 2003 to hold Maroon and White Luncheons that support student athletes.
These luncheons are what bring the community together, allow student athletes and coaches to answer questions some might have and to show support for those working hard at TWU. Each luncheon is held at Outback Steakhouse and will have a special guest speaker(s). The Outback Steakhouse supporting the event is located at 300 S, I-35 East in Denton.
The luncheon happens a few times throughout the semester. The first luncheon was Oct. 9. The next couple will be held Tuesday Nov. 6 and Dec. 4. Outback Steakhouse will begin serving lunch at noon and will charge those who visit $5.
Since parking can get a little crowded, TWU athletes have reserved two seven-passenger shuttles to take TWU employees to and from the event. RSVPs are required to get on the shuttle. To RSVP, visit the TWU athletics page.
This event is open to the public, so TWU students, faculty, staff and fans can join in and show their spirit for the Pioneer athletes.
