Non-Traditional students appreciated

Non-Traditional Student week will be held on campus Nov. 2-5 in an effort to build stronger connections with non-traditional students at TWU who are commuters, parents and/or veterans as well as students enrolled in online courses.

TWU has hosted this event since 2005 with the goal of bringing information, resources and love to students who are not always able to be on campus to receive it.

Assistant Director of Veteran and Non-Traditional Student Services, M.Ed. Brittanie Romine said: “It’s important to recognize all students.”

She added: “We’re here to serve all students. It’s a great place for students to get resources when it’s convenient for them.”

Non-Traditional Week will involve two commuter breaks on Monday and Tuesday 4:30-6 p.m., providing food and games with prizes. It will also host the third annual Fall Apartment Fair, bringing representatives from apartments in Denton to campus as well as university housing to help students examine their living options. On Thursday, the E Lounge will hold an online information session about graduation and the bookstore.

Romine said: “Everything is right here and accessible, and you can see all your options. If students have any questions, we’re here for them.”
