As many know, there was the deadliest mass shooting in US history in Las Vegas, Nevada on Oct. 1, 2017 where 58 were killed and over 500 were injured.
Since then there have been many ways people can help those affected by the shooting. Many have donated blood, raised money to cover hospital bills and lent out a hand for those needing condolence.

Make Your Voice be Heard
If you feel that the current gun laws are not up to standard in either your own state or nationwide, call your representative. The House of Representatives’ switchboard number is (202) 224-3121. Not every state has the same gun laws.
Be Aware
It is important to know which charities will donate 100% of proceeds to victims. There have already been Facebook groups shut down for falsely stating that the proceeds were going to the Vegas victims. Before donating, be sure to fact check the website and read the fine print of the site. If something seems to be false, do not donate to that site. The Attorney General’s office released information about how to not be swindled when donating to such tragic events. Things to avoid would be giving to charities that ask for cash donations, wire transfer and giving credit card information out over the phone. Just double check where you are donating to be sure it is legitimate.
