Houston Christmas to come to life with Magical Winter Lights

“Magical Winter Lights is a 20- acre, 52- day, larger than life lantern festival that presents a fresh multicultural take on traditional holiday light shows,” according to the MWL website.

For the fourth year, MWL continues to be “Houston’s largest holiday celebration and the nation’s largest lantern festival of its kind,” MWL’s website says. Festival-goers can experience a range of events happening at the event.

Once inside, there are eight different lantern attractions including The Kingdom, The Village, The Dino, The East, Houston, The Globe, The Ice and The Sea, all of which are unique in their own way. Aside from the lantern attractions, there are also cultural performances each night including the Chinese acrobatic show. While at the festival, attendees can create their own Chinese arts and crafts with the help of artists, meet the Ice Sisters from Frozen, get a picture with Santa and enjoy carnivals foods and rides.
