Celebrate Día de los Muertos by bringing your young ones to learn about Latin American traditions honoring lost loved ones with stories and crafts.

Movie in the Park

Enjoy a crisp fall night with a marshmallow roast, arts and crafts and Disney’s “Maleficent.” Concessions will be sold. Attendees are advised to bring blankets to stay warm.

The Dark Path Haunt

Experience an outdoor haunted house in one of Denton’s most notorious paranormal hotspots, Goatman’s Bridge. Walk through the dense wooded area with only a single flashlight to lead your way.

Enjoy a dark Yoga Jam session in your Halloween attire. Donations will be collected for Denton ISD’s Camp Abilities, which helps children with special needs.

Enjoy Halloween fun at the Denton Community Market. Trick-or-treating, dog costume contest and even a Halloween treasure hunt will be hosted throughout the event.

Halloween Carnival

MLK Jr. Rec Center

10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Free

Join the community for face painting, carnival games, goodie bags, bounce houses, concessions and more. Awards will be held for baby, youth and adult costume contest.

Denton Trunk-or-treat

Denton County Historical Park

5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Free

Join The Bridge Church and Denton County Historical Park for a fun Halloween alternative. Everyone is welcome to join in on the games, face paintings, food trucks and lots of candy.

Goatman’s Run

Old Alton Bridge

5 p.m. $15 – $25

The Greater Denton Sports Commission hosts a haunting 5K run through the trails that lead to Old Alton Bridge. Running awards as well as costume awards will be given.

Ghostly Graveyard Haunted House

MLK Jr. Rec Center

6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

$3 a person, $2 each time after

The rec center is being transformed into a ghostly graveyard for the night. Stop by for a scare, but don’t stay too long, as the ghosts are uneasy. Parental discretion is advised.

Share the Harvest – Trunk-or-treat

First United Methodist Church of Denton

6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Bring one can of food to join FUMC Denton for a spook-tacular night of candy, games and hayrides.
