For a meal that measures in both quality and charity, be sure to join the Denton Animal Support Foundation for their third annual “The Purrrfect Bite” on Sunday Nov. 1. The event is open to the public and costs $125 per ticket, which can be purchased via online or by mail. “The Purrrfect Bite” will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

According to the Denton Animal Support Foundation, a gourmet progressive seven-course dinner will be provided along with carefully selected wine pairings. Local restaurants participating have graciously provided food for his unique event. Dinner will also include a creative raffle of prizes donated for the event including a 500 dollar gift card from Thomas Ethan Allen, a Wine2Wine dinner for eight at a location of choice, and an original art piece from Angelia Ford.

All proceeds will benefit various Denton shelter pet initiatives including medical care, animal adoptions, and community outreach and education programs. In an email with The Lasso, DASF Chairman and Co-Founder Bette Sherman shared the impact that DASF has had on the local pet community, including raising over $2.2 million toward the construction of the Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center that opened in January 2015.

Sherman said: “Since 2006, DASF has helped thousands of shelter pets through our Adoption Subsidy and Emergency Medical Programs. We have had a major impact on improving the treatment of animals in our community.”

With limited seating available, individuals interested in attending “The Purrrfect Bite” or volunteering with the Denton animal shelter, visit www.DentonASF.com for more information.
