Fall into Autumn with the Denton Farmer’s Market

To welcome the new season that is just around the corner, the Denton Community Market is holding a variety of fall events and fundraisers during the month of September. From April through November, the Denton Community Market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

According to their website, the Community Market is “a producer-only farmer’s market and art market in downtown Denton, featuring live music, kids’ activities, local farms, local artists, food truck, food vendors and more!”

Occasionally, the market will have special events during market days for the public to enjoy. This coming Saturday Sept. 15, the Market Day will feature Labyrinth Around America during normal Market Day hours at the Denton County Historical Park. In addition to being free to travel, the Labyrinth is handicap accessible. Let others know you are going on their Facebook page.

Labyrinth Around America’s intention is to “create a positive energy” by taking a single, portable labyrinth around the states that mark the boundaries of the United States. The labyrinth’s circle around the country is said to create this energy by embracing those who live within and along its path. For more information, visit their website.

The Denton Community Market will also have vendors at the Denton County Event on the Square from 5:8 p.m. Sept. 20, which is North Texas Giving Day. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, DCM will be taking donations to continue supporting their community programs, live music and free family events, as well as the WIC and SNAP programs for local food. For more information, you can visit North Texas Giving Day’s website, or to let others know you are going, visit the Facebook page.
