Dallas to host Turtle Creek Arts and Crafts Festival

The annual Turtle Creek Arts and Crafts Festival is making its way back to the Dallas-Fort Worth area

This festival, which was originally established as a fall festival in 2017, will be held in the Dallas metro area in Reverchon Park. This is one of the largest and most enthusiastic art buying areas in the metroplex. The festival will be held Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Saturday and 11:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

Reverchon Park is a well-landscaped 43-acre community park that is situated in the heart of Dallas and will be taken over by the Foundation for Public Spaces for the event. On the lawn, there will be roughly 125 local and regional painters, photographers, sculptors, metalworkers, glass artists, jewelers and more showcasing their work.

This two-day outdoor event will explore more than just the artwork of these artisans. Those who attend this festival will also have the opportunity to attend and view demonstrations, enjoy local food trucks, listen to live music, do hands-on art activities, take their children to a area designed for kids and much more. There will also be festival foods and beverages with healthy alternatives.

This event is completely free to attend and is open to those of all ages and regions. Dogs are also welcome to attend.

The Turtle Creek Fine Arts Festival is organized by the Atlanta Foundation For Public Spaces, or AFFPS. According to the foundation, the goal of the festival is to “uphold the highest standards supporting the arts and offer participating artists the environment to nurture an appreciation for their skills.”

There will be another Turtle Creek Arts Festival in the fall October 5 and 6 for those who are unable to go to the spring event.
