The fair will bring vendors from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Denton community and TWU to the Student Union bearing a myriad of commercial and homemade goods. The Valentine’s Fair is one of the quarterly vendor fairs the Student Union hosts and it traditionally draws in a large turnout of students and staff.

Assistant Director of Student Union Programming Lauren Meyer explains: “We’ll have vendors occasionally, but it won’t be that many; this is a concentrative effort to bringing vendors in specifically for students for Valentine’s Day.”

Participants can expect to find anything imaginable at the fair, from homemade salsas to crocheted goods to jewelry and Mary Kay cosmetics. Shoppers can no doubt find what they are looking for whether it be a present for their valentine or a little something for themselves.

Meyer continues: “It’s an opportunity if you haven’t been shopping for Valentine’s Day yet, or if you want to treat yourself. I think it’s an opportunity to come see something different and stop by the Union.”

Vendors will deal mostly in cash, so shoppers are encouraged to come armed with paper currency. Students can take a break from the new semester rush and relax with friends at the Valentine’s Fair, admiring wares and tasting food.

Meyer states: “It’s kind of a come and go event. There’s lots of things you can sample and that’s always a great thing.”
