Halloween is right around the corner, which means it is time to bust out our best costumes and eat our weight, or more, in candy. Even if we are not five anymore, that does not mean we cannot celebrate like we are. Be on the lookout for little ghosts and goblins as we near All Hallows Eve.

Keeping Traditions Alive

Every year, the TWU Student Union Programming hosts an event called “Boo at The U”. This event is not only for TWU students, but it is also open up to the public, so bring your friends and family to celebrate Halloween TWU style. It is encouraged that you dress up in a costume and bring canned foods to donate for the TWU Food Pantry.

It is free to anyone who wants to join in on the fun. There will be inflatables, carnival games, prizes, hayrides, trunk or treating and plenty of candy to go around. There will also be food from Chick-fil-A and local food trucks. Be sure to get there early because there is a build a buddy booth where you can build your own stuffed toy for $15  while supplies lasts.

What You Need to Know

This event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can find the fun on the Hubbard Hall lawn. Again, do not forget to get there early if you want to partake in the “Build a Buddy” fun and have the chance to try out some local food trucks before they run out of food. Be sure to bring canned food to support the TWU Food Pantry. Have a Happy Halloween everyone!
