This Thursday, the Student Union and Campus Activities Board are joining up to send TWU students to Dallas’ Medieval Times for the “Knight at Medieval Times” event. In order to attend the event, students were supposed to register and purchase tickets at a discounted price by Feb. 18. Denton students attending the event will receive transportation to Medieval Times while Dallas students attending the event will be in charge of their own transportation.

Assistant Director of Student Union Programming Lauren Meyer said in an email: “This program should be a fun road trip for students and is part of an expanding number of activities with which we have collaborated with CAB.”

She added: “The goal for this event is to provide entertainment for participating students.”

The “Knight at Medieval Times” event has been scheduled since December 2015, according to Meyer. She elaborated: “We have had an on-going relationship with Medieval Times, as they offer discounted tickets to TWU students.”

This on-going relationship contributed to the lowered ticket prices for TWU students. Students were able to purchase tickets for $15 rather than the regular ticket price of $45.

While students who did not register for this event will not be able to attend, CAB is hosting several similar events throughout the rest of the semester. Meyer shared: “Typically, the Campus Activities Board plans most road trips, but this one was special because of the partnership the Student Union already has with Medieval Times, so we collaborated on the effort. We will have many activities planned for the remainder of the semester.”

Participating Denton students will meet at 5:30 p.m. in Student Union 113 to receive transportation to Medieval Times. Participating Dallas students will meet at Medieval Times at 7 p.m. to receive their tickets.
