Lasso 100 celebration – A century in print

The Lasso celebrates centennial

The Lasso prepares to party

This Thursday, The Lasso staff invites you to attend our birthday celebration, located at Pioneer Circle. There will be cake, TWU punch and a drawing for attendees to be featured in a profile in the following week’s issue. The event will immediately follow Lisa Ling’s talk.

The Lasso 100 is a year long event that celebrates the student newspaper, the oldest organization on campus, their 100th year in print. Departments from all across campus will be involved in the celebration. The theme for the year is “Women in Media.”

As part of this, American journalist and writer Lisa Ling will speak on Thursday, Nov. 6 at Margo Jones Performance hall at 11:30 a.m.

*Those eligible to be profiled are student, faculty and staff. This does not apply to guests not affiliated with the university.
